The
list had been
selected at the second stage of contest "Car of the Century".
The contest was held by an international jury of 135 automotive journalists
and experts representing 32 countries of the world, under the leadership
of Fred van der Vlugt, the chairman of the board of the Global Automotive
Elections Foundation. The jury of experts has been involved into a voting
process that started three years ago with a list of 200 cars. The results
of the "Top 100" were published cars in November 1997.
